SPHRi Exam Preparatory Course
Demonstrate your strategic international HR leadership with the Senior Professional in Human Resources – International™ (SPHRi™) from HR Certification Institute (HRCI). The SPHRi (formerly the Human Resources Management Professional™ or HRMP™), for internationally-based HR leaders, validates senior-level HR competency and mastery of generally accepted HR principles in strategy, policy development and service delivery in a single international setting.
Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for the SPHRi training you must meet one of the following conditions for education and experience: Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a master’s degree or global equivalent, OR Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent, OR A minimum of seven years of experience in a professional-level HR position.
The SPHRi certification requires documented knowledge of local employment laws.
What Is the Exam Format & Length?
Computer-based Testing (CBT) at a Prometric testing center
Exam time: 2 hours and 45 minutes (Plus 30 minutes Administration time).
Exam length: 115 Scored multiple-choice questions + 25 pretest questions
Language: English

When Can I Take the SPHRi exam in Nigeria?
Testing for the SPHRi in Nigeria and beyond is available year-round, subject to availability at the testing center of your choice.
How Do I Remain Certified?
Your SPHRi certification is valid for three years after testing. To maintain your SPHRi credential, you must earn 45 HR and 15 Business recertification credits (total 60) over a three-year time span.
What is the difference between SPHRi and SPHR?
The SPHRi is a global HR credential for those employed in international organizations or with global responsibilities, while the SPHR is focused on the US domestic market. Both are based on HR Competency Model and share a common body of knowledge. The exams differ in the examples used to test competency application. The SPHRi exam includes a percentage of international-specific content not included in the SPHR exam.
